1st Day of Band Camp

July 27 - Monday
8:30 am - 2:30 pm

 

This is a time to get to know everyone, have some fun, surprise activities and awards, along with practice.  You will amaze the audience with your accomplishments. 

Attendance:

You need to have your schedule cleared for band camp. You have had the schedule since the first of June. There is no good excuse to miss band camp for work or social events outside of band.

Band Camp Schedule:

1st Day:  Monday, July 27th -(8:30 am - 2:30 pm)

Be sure to check your band camp schedule for further dates & times.

Items to Bring

  1. Tennis Shoes - NO Sandals during rehearsals
  2. Water  - No soda….please
  3. Flip folders & Music lyre for your instrument.. CIC has them
  4. Ball Cap/Sun Glasses
  5. Snacks for break time and lunches for the first week
  6. Your music and pencil, small note pad
  7. Suntan Lotion
  8. Bee Sting Kits if you require them
  9. Complete Medical Form

Shoe Orders:

All first year students will need to order shoes.
Upper classman, please check to make sure your old ones still fit.

Color Guard:

Auxiliary has the basic fee for cleaning and apparel.
You will have a few additional items to purchase.  See the instructor for details.

 

Band, Welcome Back

Revere Marching Band is preparing for yet another year with solid and strong  membership with a season lined up with parades, games, competitions, and more.

Welcome to the Band Family!  This will be an exciting season with an unprecedented increase in band membership and many new additions.  With another year of continuing strong membership, is yet again a welcome challenge, and with the efforts and support of everyone, this will be an unbelievable year.  Over the years, band size has grown from 60, 70, 80, 90, to 100  members.  The Revere Band is the “place to be” for fun, friendship, and making memories. The excitement is spreading.

An impressive 100 students are scheduled for the 2008/09 school year continuing to mirror the largest band size Revere has seen in many years. There is planned to be 90 band, 9 color guards.

We need your support and help!  With a group this size, there will be a great deal more of expense to provide for our students needs to ensure another successful year! This will only be possible with your help.  Your financial support, participation, and volunteering to help in the many fundraising events are necessary to carry out these events that will provide the funds needed for this large group. Already there is an increased need for more equipment, instruments, staff assistants, awards, and meals as highlighted among other needs.  Students will receive credit toward their student account for a majority of our fundraising events based on their participation as set aside for future trips.  This can be a significant savings when it comes time to pay for the trip.  Rewards are great as you will meet new and old friends and create memories with your teens.  Together we can make this possible for an exciting year!  We hope to count on your support!

Mark your calendar as Revere will be hosting the 3rd Annual Revere Marching Band Invitational on October 4, 2008 providing an evening of performances by various marching bands along with the Revere Marching Minutemen.  The 5th Annual Bands In The Round and Silent Auction is scheduled for November 11, 2008 showcasing our elementary through high school bands.
